HS2 Phase 2B Update: Renewal Of Early Access Agreement For Survey Purposes
Rostons are aware that WSP Global Inc, who are contracted on behalf of HS2 to secure access to land on HS2 Phase 2B Crewe to Manchester, have started to contact those affected by the scheme to renew existing Early Access Agreements, commonly known as ‘survey licences’.

Lesley Griffiths, The Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs has announced that the Basic Payment Scheme in Wales will remain unchanged in 2020. This will help farmers during the transition period to the new Land Management Scheme.

Northern Power House Rail Network and the effects on Cheshire
The budget published this week included a £37 million boost for Northern Power House Rail. This is to develop additional rail services throughout the North and is being referred to as the cross rail of the North.

Within the Chancellor’s budget released this week was a pledge of £60 million towards Woodland Carbon Guarantee Schemes and to support the planting of 10 million trees. This is in addition to the funding available for tree planting in urban areas.
