The design and development of HS2 Phase 2B is continuing with refinements including alignments and land take still being worked upon, particularly where significant changes to existing infrastructure will occur such as road and utility diversions. These up to date designs are expected to be released in the summer of 2019 although this may be delayed.

HS2 Phase 2A – Deposit of Additional Provisions
Earlier this week HS2 deposited in Parliament a proposed set of amendments for Phase 2A from Birmingham to Crewe in the form of an Additional Provision (AP2) and Additional Provision Environmental Statement (AP2 ES).
Tony Rimmer Awarded Certificate of Merit by Cheshire Agricultural Society

HS2 Phase 2B Update: Renewal Of Early Access Agreement For Survey Purposes
Rostons are aware that WSP Global Inc, who are contracted on behalf of HS2 to secure access to land on HS2 Phase 2B Crewe to Manchester, have started to contact those affected by the scheme to renew existing Early Access Agreements, commonly known as ‘survey licences’.
Welsh Basic Payment Scheme
Lesley Griffiths, The Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs has announced that the Basic Payment Scheme in Wales will remain unchanged in 2020. This will help farmers during the transition period to the new Land Management Scheme.
