Basic Payment 2016 – Entitlement values and greening payment confirmed
The RPA have recently confirmed the 2016 payment rates for Basic Payment Claims. These are detailed in the table below.
HS2 Update: Phase 2B Route Announcement
HS2 Limited have announced today their preferred route from Crewe to Manchester, referred to as HS2 Phase 2B. The route will receive final confirmation in March 2017 and HS2 Limited are currently consulting on the amendments made to the 2013 proposed route.
BPS 2016 – Accountable people, details no longer needed.
It has recently been announced by the RPA that details of the accountable people i.e. people that are associated with a business were required prior to releasing a 2016 payment however, it has been announced today that this is no longer a payment limiting factor for the 2016 scheme.

HS2 Phase 2A Update: Further environmental surveys & land interest questionnaires
HS2 LTD will shortly be sending out Land Interest Questionnaires to all land owners and occupiers effected by the proposed route to the South of Crewe.

Defra has published today the application for a grassland derogation for land that is within a Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ).

Milk Production Reduction Scheme
More than 1,800 UK dairy farmers applied for the first tranche of the Milk Production Reduction Scheme. The scheme is aimed at dairy farmers that have decreased their production volume over the last 12 months, who will be eligible for a possible 12ppl payment on the amount they have decreased by.
