    2015 Entitlement Trading has Started !

    The first deals of the 2015 entitlement trading period have recently been agreed at Rostons. 

    With a busy 2014 trading period only just finishing last month, it has not been long until deals are being agreed for this year’s trading.  

    The enquiries and interest coming in from both vendors and purchasers are notably more than previous years. 

    European Funding Could Provide Timely Boost for Farmers

    Farmers and food producers thinking of investing in their businesses could access discounted borrowing rates from the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC plc).

     

    AMC has negotiated access to a £multi million European Investment Bank (EIB) fund aimed at stimulating investment and job creation in small and medium sized businesses, including those in farming. This means that loans for eligible projects can be discounted by 0.8% below normal rates for 10 years.

    Solar PVs – a brighter future for farmers?

    The number of solar farms in the North West has increased in recent months, particularly in Cheshire and Shropshire, with many Rostons’ clients reporting they have been approached by operators sounding out the potential for a solar farm on their land.

    HS2 – heading in the right direction?

    Consultation on the proposed high speed rail route (HS2) route ended in January and the final decision on the preferred route for phase 2 of the HS2 project should be announced towards the end of this year.
