Rostons is delighted to announce that Director Tony Rimmer has been invited to become the external examiner for Harper Adams University’s Rural Estate Management courses.
Since setting up the business 10 years ago both Tony and Ros Rimmer have been completely committed to excellence in training to benefit both their own business and the future of farming and agri-business.
Tony said: “Training is everything. Farming and agri-businesses need to be supported by the very best the country has to offer.
“For a decade we have worked closely with Harper Adams University by taking placement students on an annual basis and taking on a number of graduates and although it’s sad when they move on, it’s satisfying to know we are sending highly skilled and trained professionals out into the wider farming world.”
Ros and Tony’s commitment to high-quality training was recognised in 2008 when Carrie De Silva of Harper Adams nominated Rostons for a national award as best Work Experience Provider which Rostons duly won.
Tony has been an assessor for many years for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors assessing surveyors for their final hurdle as part of their qualifications and is looking forward to his new challenge in helping to identify and develop the country’s future farmers and estate managers.
