It is likely that hedgerow and boundaries capital grants will be launched in the next few weeks, with the closing date expected to be 30th April, the same as last year. It is hoped that applications will be able to be submitted online via the Rural Payments service.
DEFRA and Natural England are still finalising the details of Mid Tier and Higher Tier, however it looks like there will be a further application round in 2017.
Although the details are still to be confirmed Fran Griffiths of Rostons, Rural Property Experts based in Chester, comments that “now we know the likely direction, we are able to start planning for this year’s applications.”
