Exchange Rate helps Single Farm Payment

The date for setting the exchange rate for the 2011 Payment of Single Farm Payment is September 30th.

Whilst the exchange rate for a number of things is not favourable, for Single Farm Payment, the exchange rate and changes have been favourable with 1 Euro = 0.86665 Pounds.

This is the second most favourable exchange rate for UK SPS claimants and is slightly improved on last year.

In the current market place where the supermarket price wars is having a downward pressure on farm incomes, this is welcome news to Cheshire Farmers.
