Entitlement sales and purchases for the 2016 scheme year are able to be carried out until the 16 May 2016.
Rostons are trading English entitlements at the moment in the region of £195 – £200 per ha plus VAT. We also have a number of Non VAT Entitlements for any purchasers who are not VAT registered. We are also trading Welsh entitlements.
In terms of a return on investment for English entitlements, a predicted payment for the 2017 scheme year would be in the region of £155 – £160 per hectare therefore, in just over a year any clients looking to purchase will see a return on investment.
Likewise the entitlement usage rules state that all entitlements need to be activated at least once in every two years therefore, if any clients have lost land and have surplus entitlements we are recommending that they are sold.
