After the exchange rate for the Basic Payment Scheme was announced at the end of September this year, DEFRA has now confirmed the 2017 payment values which are as follows:
- Non SDA: £230.97/ha (£93.47/ac)
- SDA: £228.88/ha (£92.62/ac)
- Moorland: £63.48/ha (£25.69/ac)
Payment rates are approximately 5% higher than last year after the announcement of the favourable exchange rate.
Payments should start to be made from 1st December 2017 however delays in payments are likely to be encountered for claimants with cross border claims or those that have been inspected recently.
