Basic Payment – Have you been paid enough?

Hopefully claimants by now have received their 2015 Basic Payment and also in the process of submitting their claim for 2016. A Claim Statement to show how the calculation of 2015 payment may also now have been received.

Carys Studley of Rostons comments that “There are numerous errors in these Claim Statements that show an over declaration penalty or Greening failure penalty, which in all cases so far Rostons have found to be incorrect. These penalties are detailed within your Claim Statement and unless it is carefully inspected, may go amiss”.

Rostons urge all claimants to check their statement to ensure there are no penalties.

In addition to this there is also horror stories over RPA administration errors whereby field data has not been inputted correctly and a claim has been based on a smaller area which may have also resulted in not only an underpayment, but also a wrong allocation of entitlements.
