As progress with the Awel Y Mor offshore windfarm project continues, three possible landfall and onshore cable routes have been identified by the developer, RWE. The West and Centre routes hit the coastline in Abergele while the East route comes onshore to the East of Rhyl, all routes lead to the National Grid sub-station at Bodelwyddan.
The cables will be installed in open trenches, which will cause disruption to farming and other activities on the land.
